I used to use Arachne in 90s but I think you’re better off focusing on
Links2 today.

There’s a DOS build that gets updated when the Linux version does. It performs a little bit in terms of response & throughput compared to Arachne
and has more up to date TLS support.

I’ve rebuilt Links on Linux which is quite easy, but I’m not sure how to do the same thing for DOS.
