cooperate with the authorities and turn in the documents. Both discovered they had the
documents themselves and immediately notified authorities and turned them in.
Trump denied having the documents. Then he tried to say he was entitled to keep them. The
full story is that Trump did everything he could to keep from returning them including
lying and inducing others to lie to the government about them.
