Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney Shannon Taylor announced on
Tuesday that a Henrico middle school teacher pleaded guilty to
sexual acts with her 14-year-old student.
The teacher, identified as Megan Pauline Jordan, 25, was arrested in
June 2023. Since then she has remained jailed without bond.
Jordan pleaded guilty to five felonies for sexual acts with the
student.
Taylor in a statement said, “During the 2022-23 school year, Ms.
Jordan was having sexual relations with her 14-year-old student. On
several occasions, Ms. Jordan would go to the victim’s house and
have sexual intercourse with the student. Her DNA was recovered from
his bed linens.”
Taylor said Jordan faces “up to 50 years in prison with the charges
she has plead guilty to.” Taylor thanked law enforcement for
removing a “predator” from the streets.
Minors, those under the age of 17, are not legally able to consent
to sexual activity under Virginia code. Jordan taught at Hungary
Creek Middle School, according to a press release from Henrico
County.
A sentencing hearing is set for May 20.
