Dungpile, when the male cattle had gorged on laxative grasses.

I don’t really remember the racist one very well so I left it out. I didn’t mind the one with data reproduced because the child actress did a pretty good job. The naked now has the advantage of being the first episode

That's the one where they encounter a planet inhabited by natives from an
old Tarzan movie. The king kidnaps Yar, I think to be part of his harem,
and she and his original wife have to duel to the death on a jungle gym

Here are mine, the list changes as I age. I consulted an episode guide
for seasons 1-5 originally posted on rec.arts.startrek.misc titled ST:TNG Episode List on 3/3/93. I haven't watched many of the shows since the
early nineties, and I am aware that the first two seasons were
absolutely horrible. The descriptions don't sound too bad though.

Encounter at farpoint - the pilot

Yar dies on a whim of a garbage bag creature who lives in tar. She
wanted to leave the show and preferred to model for playboy. I bought
the issue even though she had small pointies.

The Child - the alien jesus story where troi gets preggers by a glowy
    light alien.

Time Squared - double picard episode. one from the future, after the enterprise is destroyed with the future picard the only survivor (of
    course).

Up The Long Ladder - some human colonists who left earth a long time ago settled on a planet where one group rejected tech while the other one resorted to cloning and were in desparate need of dna for some stupid
    reason.

Deja Q - q is kicked out of the continuum and asks for sanctuary on the enterprise.

    D

Even though your list has no overlap with mine, I agree with all your
    choices.

I think the biggest problem with post TOS trek is limiting it to only a

A bit tough to say "raise the shields" or "disengage the Heisenberg compensators" in Tamarian. Makes one wonder how they built ships, put
their kids through medical school and followed recipes all in metaphors.

That's my biggest complaint, plus the claim that real linguists were unable
to figure it out for many years but picard did it within 24 hours.

One of the bottom five episodes of TNG.

    List your bottom five.

    In no particular order:

    This one.

Sub Rosa (Crusher has sex with a ghost)

    The "racist" one with Yar.

The one where Data tries to make a child.

    The remake of Naked Time.

    All fine choices.

I don't really remember the racist one very well so I left it out.

That's the one where they encounter a planet inhabited by natives from an
old Tarzan movie. The king kidnaps Yar, I think to be part of his harem,
and she and his original wife have to duel to the death on a jungle gym

    Oh, yeah. Thanks.

    Heh.

Exactly. The only way this came to be is if they spoke a real language and
then created their stupid metaphor language just to annoy other people.

Loved this episode, a language spoken 100% in idioms is such a cool

Here are mine, the list changes as I age. I consulted an episode guide
for seasons 1-5 originally posted on rec.arts.startrek.misc titled ST:TNG >Episode List on 3/3/93.

    I fucking hate "star-child" storoes!

Time Squared - double picard episode. one from the future, after the >enterprise is destroyed with the future picard the only survivor (of
    course).

Up The Long Ladder - some human colonists who left earth a long time ago >settled on a planet where one group rejected tech while the other one >resorted to cloning and were in desparate need of dna for some stupid
    reason.

The space-Irish didn't live on the same planet, but were left there for the clones to interbreed, but I have no doubt as soon as the Enterprise left,
they were all put into medical comas and used for cloning material.
