Although it was Amanda who went through the procedure, it was Mike who was deeply affected by the whole thing. Mike clearly loves his wife, is a supportive husband and is not ready to let her go. That is why, when he first met Gaynor, he looked at the whole Rivermind thing as his lifeline. He subscribed to the whole thing without even thinking about the long-term consequences. few extra shifts here and there, but over time, the overtime became his
