Your post just auto created this area here.
I never used FTN software on an amiga ... so no, I am not using it now.

Hmmm, I thought I already answered this, but for some unknown reason I have no evidence here in GED+.

I got hit by a y2k bug in GMS-Mailer and was not in town for some time to fix this and switch over to Trapdoor. After 3 month there was nothing left. Points already switched over to other nodes and such...

have you possible contact to developpers of gms and mailmanager ?, hopefully the c code is not lost, and yes i have being there with it all aswell, today i lost it all, last 20 years here i have being linux only ftn, when i did amiga it was trapdoor, crashmail, crashtic, ums, pint, xenolink, lastly it worked well with xenolink finaly handlede isdn callers :=)

remember the manual says "if you dont know isdn, you dont have it" :)

imho trapdoor is not tested on isdn, but works well anyway, sadly no more isdn calls, mostly the bill on isdn is here to high, so its not my 2 isdn master that breaked it, but silly payment for have and support isdn that is the problem

got a courier-i later that was delivering v90 clients around 64kb/s downloads on there courier modems with v90 modem standards

    oh time flyes

amiganet is the only othernet i have since i like to stay in touch where it matters

Yes, I already successfully contacted Mirko Viviani, the author of GMS-Mailer. He's in the process of getting access to his old SCSI disks again in order to release a y2k fixed full version instead of just a y2k patch.

No contact so far to Pino Aliberti, the author of MailManager.

In fact I plan to contact as many Amiga developers as possible to ask them to release their old software as source code on Aminet. But that's of course more of a long term project.

Well, Trapdoor is at least working. ;) But GMS was more feature-rich and shinyier than Trapdoor back then. It provided Hydra protocol and other nice things I can't remember now... ;)

remember the manual says "if you dont know isdn, you dont have it" :)

Back then I did know ISDN fairly well and had to tell the tech guys from phone carrier where they had issues in their setup. ;) Sometimes the conversation was like this:
Me: "Well, I can see in my D-channel protocol that the signaling is like..." Carrier: "You have a D-channel protocol? Where did you get it?!"
Me: "Well, there is this small program that came with my ISDN card on my Amiga..."
Carrier: "Wait! Your Amiga can do ISDN?!?!"
    Me: "Well, of course..."

imho trapdoor is not tested on isdn, but works well anyway, sadly no
more isdn calls, mostly the bill on isdn is here to high, so its not
my 2 isdn master that breaked it, but silly payment for have and
support isdn that is the problem

I still have an ISDN-Master and another ISDN card (Zeus?).

amiganet is the only othernet i have since i like to stay in touch
    where it matters

Well, I think I'll connect some more FTN nets over time... :)
