I would like to install Brave on Mmageia 7. I didn't find
the Mageia package in the repositories or on the official
browser page.

As yet another browser based on chromium-browser, it hasn't been added,
and it
has its controversies, so it's very unlikely it will ever be added to Mageia.

If you want it, you'll have to install it from https://brave.com/ at
your own risk,
and without support from Mageia.

You are not missing much. I tried it our yesterday and it presently much like Chromium. I dunno how anyone gets anything done
with such tools.
Try SeaMonkey which gave me the most useful results in my trial
to see if I could get around a problem that had nothing to do with
browsers except for a obscure setting. SeaMonkey found a reference
to similar problems and I only had to send a note to the ISP tech
support and by evening my problem was over.

I didn't know about the controversies about Brave. I just wanted to find
the program in the list of repositories.

Well those controversies have apparently bitten you-- the explanation
was that it was precisely thos controversies which prevent its being in
the Mageia repositories.
In Mageia I will try to use some other browser.

I use bind to block ads and known malware sites. I don't use facebook or
so have them blocked. Blocking their scripts on all the sites that have them loaded by their ads, and "share" icons, noticeably speeds up browsing.Blocked
sites are all redirected to localhost, where I have apache running thatreturns
a not found error almost immediately, instead of waiting for a timeout. https://github.com/Trellmor/bind-adblock has an example of how to set upbind.
