    Mageia 8 Alpha 2 Torrent does not work.

    Vuze is used here for torrent downloads. I get fllowing link:

    The above link is working just fine here in Ktorrent on a Mageia 7
    Plasma system. Currently downloading at over 5 MiB/s, using 6 out of a possible 16 seeders.

    So it may have been delay in the download reaching your mirror.
    distrib.coffee should be fine, and anyway, you aren't downloading the
    distro from there, only the pieces. Just let it run for a while until
    the tracker knows about you.

    I downloaded it from the Mageia site, and it worked immediately. For
    those who prefer LinuxTracker it is there as well.

    Or it could be that incoming tcp packets for port 6881 are not reaching that computer due to router settings or the settings in the firewall.

    Thanks, Dave. I am using Port 8642, which isn't the default one.
    Presumably the "BitTorrent"checkbox in Shorewall opens Port 6881.

    By way of a general comment, the Beta 2 was what I already had, but
    having the ISO does mean that I no longer need to use the Netinstall
    approach.
