• OpenGL problem with xscreensaver

From Doug Laidlaw@2:250/1 to All on Mon May 3 12:32:08 2021
After the latest update of the nVidia drivers, xscreensaver refuses to
    run. The error message is:

"Couldn't create glcontext for visual 0x21" (or 0x24.)

This is an upstream error; it has been found on Arch Linux and Mint. A
user on Mint got everything working by reinstalling the previous
version, then (of course) his system offered the update. Mageia has an
answer for that; add the package to /etc/urpmi/skip.list.

Some DEs repackage xscreensaver as the official screensaver for the DE.
Since the problem is not there, but in the video driver, that may not
be enough to avoid the bug. Anybody running the nouveau driver should
    not have a problem.
