I thinking about setting up a CW themed BBS
My initial BBS theme was weather, but I added amateur radio to it as
well. It's your BBS...set it up however you want.
Been haml for 45 years.
Since you've been licensed that long, and you're currently licensed,
you qualify for membership in the Quarter Century Wireless Assocation
(QCWA). The only requirements to be able to join is that you were
first licensed anytime in 1998 or earlier (as of 2023), and are
currently licensed...and from what you said, you qualify.

Tuesday:
QCWA 6 meter Net, 2300 UTC Tuesday from the 2nd Sunday in March to

Friday:
QCWA VoIP Net (no RF), 1500 UTC Friday from the 2nd Sunday in March
to the 1st Sunday in Novmber, 1600 UTC Friday otherwise, on 14.347
Mhz on CQ100 -- it's a virtual ionosphere for amateur radio, with
simulated operation of phone, CW, and PSK-31, on several HF bands.
It's VoIP (no RF), which is great for those with antenna prohibitions
or restrictions, or they have medical issues, such as a pacemaker.
Usage is $39 per year, with free usage on Sunday from 0000 UTC to
2359 UTC, year round. First time users get a 30 day free trial, and
paid users can use an add-on called QSO-TV, a quasi-ATV unit to send

QCWA Sunflower Net, 1400 UTC Saturday from the 2nd Sunday in March
to the 1st Sunday in November, 1500 UTC otherwise, on the Sunflower Network...go to sunflowernet.us for connection options on AllStar,
D-Star, DMR, Echolink, Fusion, Hamshack Hotline, M17, P25, and TGIF.
I run the QCWA Digital Net, the QCWA CQ100 Net, and the QCWA Sunflower
Net each week. I'm a QCWA Life Member, and a member of Sunflower Chapter
79 in Wichita, Kansas...and Arklatex Chapter 85 in Shreveport/Bossier
City, Louisiana.
Also, for the QCWA Digital Net and the QCWA Sunflower Net, I offer an
extended checkin window in the QCWA Facebook Group, starting 30 minutes
before the net, and ending 24 hours and 30 minutes after the net starts,
for a 25 hour checkin window total. And, for those 2 nets, I also take
checkins via Netlogger...go to

It's a free utility for Windows, Mac, and Linux, where you can checkin
to an active net, and comment via a chat box, with other participants
during the net.
Again, QCWA Membership isn't required to checkin to any of our nets.
There are local chapters besides the national organization, and there
are membership meetings at Hamcation in Orlando, Florida in February...
and at Hamvention in Xenia, Ohio in May.
