    Whitefish stomachs or "pipes". When gutting a netful of whitefish take them out and "clean them good in cold water, then boil".

    Fishlins seems somehow less far-fetched.

    The weirdest one was salvaging clams from a freshly killed walrus stomach right after the walrus has had a recent meal of clams. Rinse them well in salt cold water and enjoy them raw. (They are bleached white from the walrus stomach acid!)

    Weird? Sounds good. Do not even have to add lemon.

    It seems that walruses' primary diet is shellfish. Reminds me of the Lewis Caroll poem. For they did eaten every one.

    I presume if you substituted brandy in this, you might get une saloperie francaise - Sligo Slop
    (Irish delight).

    Americano coffee is a shot of espresso, combined with hot water. The hot water dilutes the expresso, and makes something similar to drip coffee, or regular coffee, as American's are used it.

    It's called the Americano because it was made for soldiers in WWII when they were in Europe, and wanted a coffee at a European cafe which didn't have an American style drop coffee maker.

    I will take on a point. I have two of them now and if anyone would like a point address they are welcome here.

    Points are not the same as nodes. Nodes can access areas that are sysop only but points can't. Points can access all the regular fidonet echoes like this one, COOKING, ASIAN_LINK and what not, but not the admin areas.

    If you ever run into someone wanting to run a point, feel free to send them my way. :)
