I've only had time for a very quick look, but it appears to have only a ridiculous monthly plan pricing system and no option to buy the app
normally.
It also looks like Claris are trying to turn FileMaker into more than
just a database app by shoehorning in stuff from their Connect app development system. The likely result will be that it becomes messy and over-complicated, and probably losing what made it such a great
*database* app to use in the first place. :o(

However, the chart capabilities looked nice. I'll have a look into it.

powerfull hardware that can't be upgraded, Applications that won't
support older OSes, older Application that won't read newer documents
and newer Application that won't save in older formats, etc.
