KEGS - Using the Direct IP Printing Feature =======================================================================
At the suggestion of Kent Dickey, I've prepared a web page and attendant file support disk images describing how to use the Direct IP Printing Feature of the KEGS Apple IIgs emulator. Kent added this ability beginning in KEGS version 1.29.
In a nutshell, this relatively new feature re-directs output coming from the emulated Apple IIgs' serial ports and allows one to print from 8-bit and 16-bit Apple II programs directly to any network printer that is available to the host computer on which
KEGS is running, provided that network printer 'speaks' a language that the Apple II program generates.
For network printers supporting HP PCL (or equivalent), both plain text and PCL coming from the Apple II are understood. Some examples are BASIC programs, ProTERM and AppleWorks, although there are many, many others.
For network printers supporting Adobe PostScript (or equivalent), PostScript coming from GS/OS desktop programs via the Direct Connect PostScript Printer Driver are understood. This includes all GS/OS desktop programs that use the print manager.
The web page describes this all in more detail, and contains a screen shot of the proper configuration screen in KEGS.

The disk images contain a small 'ReadMe' file, the Direct Connect PostScript Printer Driver, several GS/OS high-speed serial port drivers, and two PCL drivers for GS/OS from the Vitesse Harmonie package.
