    newsgroup on news.eternal-september.org working still.

    aioe.org used to be a free and I think anonymous usenet access point. They
    had one of the largest grouplists I have seen (only text though). They
    also limited posting to 25 posts per day.

    I think a while ago they suffered a RAID failure, followed by health
    issues of the admin, and the server went offline. The aioe hierarchies are still available via ES.
