    LOL Spalls.

    Now for the games!

I didn't take them. I am not into Stealth games. Now, can one of the
    regulars get them in time?

Styx is back with more shadowy antics. Keep to the shadows

great stealth and a good sense of humor. Not so fond of the

I grabbed these. Sounds a lot like Thief back in the day.

    Being sneaky can be fun.

The most fun I ever had in VTM:Bloodlines was as a sneaky Malkavian,
creeping around in the shadows and then insta-killing enemies.

Sometimes it could take 5 or 10 mins to get in the right position while
    not getting discovered.

I played Thief demos. They were decent, but I hate being quiet and slow. :P I don't mind doing a little
of bit like in No One Lives Forever games and others.

I'm with you on this one Ant.

My favorite character to play in Borderlands was Brick. I loved
running into the mobs and punching the crap out of all of them while
he screamed and shouted at the top of his lungs. That never got old
for me. That is the exact opposite of stealthy. :)

I think it is best that Xocyll got these games. He will enjoy them
more then you or I. ;)

I recall starting this up, but once I got to where it was necessary to interact with the UI to change tools etc, the little icons and such were so small I couldn't read them. Never got around to looking into how to scale
them with a mod or something. Maybe its been fixed since

I remember I had some fun with the first one (Master of Shadows). But it
felt like an overgrown intro, there was a long long stretch of intro or gameplay until you finally arrived at some nook that would be your home
base in whatever medieval style town it was. I think I quite around then
and didn't come back to it.

Combat was also possible but as I recall it was so clunky that fighting
more than one enemy was pretty much impossible. But Styx hits hard and
at least the basic guards had no chance one on one.

I think the biggest qualifier as to whether I find a stealth game
enjoyable or not is if the stealth is largely optional, or if it's the
goal of the game. In games like "Skyrim", going in loud and proud is >considered just as feasible as shooting the enemy in the back, and the
game adjusts to your playstyle. But other games --especially those
early "Thief" titles-- could be quite punishing if you broke cover. I
always preferred the first type, where I could CHOSE to stealth but
wasn't required to do it. Having it be a choice was the important part
    for me.

This is a good point you are making here and it applies to me as well.
Baldur's Gate has an assassin class that lets you sneak up and attack
from behind for extra damage. It was fun because it was just for one playthrough and it was my choice to do it.

But if stealth is the entire point of the game, and it is the only
option, I am going to lose interest very quickly.
