Are you tired? I'm tired. But it's Thursday, and I'm hoping that free
games will give me that boost of energy I need to finish this day.
And, fortunately, there just happens to be a free game on the Epic
Game Store. Let's see what caffeinated delight awaits us

How appropriate; a game about zombies. My lack of sleep is
making me feel somewhat zombie-like (please don't shoot me in
the head. I almost never eat brains anymore). The game itself
seems to be a cross between "A Plague Tale" and "Project
Zomboid"; the former for its narrative structure and because
you have your young son toddling after you, and the later for
its aesthetics and survival/crafting mechanics. It seems an
odd combination and could be great, but actual presentation
--the English translation, the bugs, some of the mechanics--
keep it from living up to its promise.
I am sadly not enervated by this release. I mean, sure I'll grab the
game, but that's more because I haven't the willpower to resist
something free rather than any excitement over the title. I may have
to chug some more coffee. How much caffeine before it's a lethal dose?
Seven days to claim this one, as usual.
