So I came across something frustrating in Elite Dangerous: Trailblazers.
My "tidally-locked" planet doesn't appear to be following the rules for
such a planet. The scan reports that it is tidally-locked with the star,
but the star moves around in the sky anyway.
I tested this by parking in a spot and screenshotting the star's location. After a couple of days I logged back into the game -- and the sun was over
the horizon.
Tried it again, this time sitting on the equator (thinking there might be
a wobble), but the star moved quite a bit again after a few hours.
A bit frustrating, because the main reason I chose the system
was the tidally-locked planet.
Anyway, so I've punted, and laid down the groundwork for a colony
settlement, which I'm building now.
