oint-n-click fantasy-adventure game in theSuperb, right along my angle and perfect for the steam deck, great info, thanks!
style of Sierra's "Hero's Quest" (a.k.a. "Quest for
Glory") games. Except, obviously, this is the distaff,
off-brand equivalent. It has light role-playing elements
and some simplistic combat, but mostly it's typical
adventure. Not really a bad game, but - having played
the classic versions - this game doesn't really add
anything new, so I wasn't too excited. But I guess it
scratches that nostalgia itch.

This time, it's a free on both GOG and Steam. Maybe elsewhere too (I'm
too lazy to check). Get one. Get both!

So, as the name suggests, this is a traditional side-
scrolling point-n-click fantasy-adventure game in the
style of Sierra's "Hero's Quest" (a.k.a. "Quest for

But, c'mon, it's free! Grab it. Your don't want a puny video-game
library where it's EASY to pick what game to play next, right?

LOOK! Shiney! *kaching* 487.
A 487 is more appropriate for numbers anyway ;-)
(even if, technically an 80487 really was just a rebranded 486. It was
only used in systems that had a 80486/SX CPU; the 80487 just disabled
the SX and *all* code - not just the floating point maths - ran on the
'487' ;-)

This is good news! It means I can buy STFU when it comes out and still
have a valid version of The Number, without having to increase my library
to 586 games (or to 80486)!

That seems to imply that you don't have that many already....

Take that up with Spalls. :P
In the meantime, I will make it my duty to get as close as I possibly
can to that number. ;-)
Anyway, if we include mobile and flash games, the world's total number
of video games is likely up in the millions already. Especially if we
decide that games on different platforms can be counted separately).
Hell, all the different variations of Doom probably add several
hundred thousand. ;-)
Passed even if free. Not my genre. CCed adv. newsgroups!
