We like games! We like free! We like free games! But is there a free
game to be had? You betcha!
* Blacksad: Under the Skin >https://www.gog.com/en/game/blacksad_under_the_skin
A gritty noir adventure... featuring a cat. Well, a
cat-man. It's based on a cartoon or something, I dunno.
But the game itself is solid enough (if a bit rough
around the edges, and with some annoying generated
voice-acting). It's more along the lines of modern
adventures (think Telltale games) than the classics
(e.g., Sierra or LucasArts), although it has a lot of
Sierra's kill-you-whenever philosophy to it. Is it
great? No, but it's good and adventure fans should
definitely add it to their library.
The offer is good for only three days (the game is yours to keep
forever if you claim it within that windows, though) so don't wait too
long to make your decision.

The giveaway link seems to be suffering from some heavy traffic right
now, I'm stuck on the three dots after clicking on "go to giveaway"
grabbed, but, what kind of evil person creates a link that only works on >Chrome? The problem happened to be Firefox

It worked fine for me in Firefox. Probably just heavy traffic as you
said.

I'm using Firefox and it's being doing the dots things for me for over
a day, so I don't think it's heavy traffic.

You have a javascript blocker?

Just plain vanilla Firefox. That includes a popup blocker and some sort
of "Enhanced Tracking Protection" by default but no add blockers.
Just use this link while logged into your GOG account:
https://www.gog.com/giveaway/claim
Then check your library, the game should be there regardless of what the
page tells you (usually a weird {} or some such).

Yah, that worked. Both for Blacksad and The Whisperer, which is the
game they're currently giving away and was also doing the dots
thing. Thanks for the tip.
