cat-man. It's based on a cartoon or something, I dunno.
But the game itself is solid enough (if a bit rough
around the edges, and with some annoying generated
voice-acting). It's more along the lines of modern
adventures (think Telltale games) than the classics
(e.g., Sierra or LucasArts), although it has a lot of
Sierra's kill-you-whenever philosophy to it. Is it
great? No, but it's good and adventure fans should
definitely add it to their library.


The offer is good for only three days (the game is yours to keep
forever if you claim it within that windows, though) so don't wait too

It did not get good reviews, but I'm still tempted to try it after I
finish reading the bande desinee. The giveaway link seems to be
suffering from some heavy traffic right now, I'm stuck on the three dots
after clicking on "go to giveaway"

Doesn't work in Chrome for meow right meow. I'll try to remember to
try again later. Probably traffic/sever issues as others have suggested.

For what it's worth, I had a similar issue.

When I initially posted the announcement, the link worked on Firefox,
but when I went back to confirm the URL before hitting send, I was
getting the dot-dot-dot thing but - since I trust GOG - just used an unprotected Chromium to claim the title. I assumed it was either some
conflict between the security software or exceptionally heavy traffic.

Currently, the link shows up correctly on Firefox, but it's been on
and off using that browser over the past few days. It seemed to work
reliably with Chromium at all times.

TL;DR: Something's broken somewhere, but I really didn't care to
investigate what it was. ;-)

Apparently if you already own the game (it was given away this past
summer) and click that link you'll receive a gift from yourself in the
mail - a code for this game :)

So if anybody is having problems redeeming The Whisperer let me know.
