These all revolve around a couple of extents 2764152, 2764184, located on rdisk1s6. Snooping around indicaxtes rdisk1s6 is the VM folder.

got the report I mentioned.
But those errors were coming from an analysis of what's on the disc.
In any case I answered my own question by doing a reinstall of the OS disk utility and it pronounced it all clean. I'll guess my assumption about rdisk1s5 was correct; that whatever if it was in rdisk1s5, it would get wiped with a reinstall.
