Well that seems to have fixed it (logging off of iCloud on the Mac and

Seems I had an issue like this a long while ago. I contacted Apple Support and
I think this is what they instructed me to do.

Well, I came here to report - again - that that did -not- in fact fix
it.
What starts this behaviour is if I add an image (PNG of about 200 kB)
to the notes: then that triggers the message. And it repeats every 5
- 10 minutes or so - which is very annoying. So have to log out of
iCloud and back in which is not a 1-2-3 sort of thing due to
authentication.

Strange! I have lots of notes with images in them and haven't ever seen
this error. Is it only this certain image, or any image of that
approximate size?
I wonder if this is a bug in 10.14 that was fixed in later releases...

There is nothing wrong with iOS. Apple does not make mistakes so you must
be doing something wrong. Try holding your mouth a different way when pressing the Save button.

No, you seem to have a model of “adult” in mind and since you’ve never chastised Jolly Roger for his behavior, perhaps that’s what you consider an “adult”.

Also made an error in an earlier post: it's not when I put a PNG into
a note but rather pasting a screen shot into a note. (At some point
the flow is so smooth you gloss over what is actually going on (my
excuse and I'm sticking to it)).

Interesting.
FWIW, I just did this in macOS 12.6.4 without issue. I don't have any machines nearby running older versions to test, sorry.
It's now more than 5 years since I stopped drinking alcohol.

Well something must explain the fact that you are here commenting about unrelated bullshit in this thread. Should we just assume from your
behavior that you are just mentally unwell then?

So, after 2 cycles of logging out of iCloud and re-testing the
conditions that caused it, the issue seems to have been resolved.
And of course, the universe being what it is, as soon as I post this,
the issue will come back ...

To date, no issues ... resolved? Only the great pumpkin knows.

Well, seems to be a bug.
After several days of no issues, the error came back immediately after pasting a screen grab to the Notes (a Note shared with client (3
people)).
I also pasted it as a file and it came out to be 1.1MB which I thought
large for the image...
So I'll try to avoid pasting images there for now - transmit them by
text or Dropbox instead.
Pity.
