    This release of the unofficial XeTeX reference manual brings it
    up to date for the upcoming TeX Live 2024 release. The main change
    is that filenames can now include Unicode characters beyond the BMP.

    This release of the unofficial XeTeX reference manual brings it up to

    - new cross-engine primitive \ignoreprimitiveerror included.
    - XDV output briefly mentioned.
    - specials for changing the PDF output version mentioned.
    - --help message included.
    - \XeTeXinputencoding is somewhat more fully described, thanks to
