• Bug#1095780: RFS: lighttpd/1.4.77-2 -- light, fast, functional web serv

From Glenn Strauss@21:1/5 to All on Wed Apr 9 15:30:01 2025
This bug was filed over 8 weeks ago and is still waiting for a sponsor,
despite having been marked "Confirmed" by Phil 8 weeks ago.

It is nice to see that Phil has *greatly* reduced the noise he posts in subsequent bugs.

It would be even nicer if a sponsor could wade through this sponsorship
request before the Trixie soft freeze next week.

    Thank you. Glenn

Can you contact the other up-loader, Salsa is ahead of the RFS.

    https://salsa.debian.org/debian/lighttpd/-/blob/master/debian/changelog?ref_type=heads

You may wish to ask and have that version pushed.

I updated the title of this sponsorship request to reflect that.

Changed Bug title to 'RFS: lighttpd/1.4.79-1 -- light, fast, functional web server' from 'RFS: lighttpd/1.4.77-2 -- light, fast, functional web server'. Request was from Glenn Strauss <gs-bugs.debian.org@gluelogic.com> to control@bugs.debian.org. (Wed,

Is there something different or additional that you recommend that I do?

The other uploader and I are lighttpd developers, not Debian DMs or DDs.

    Thank you. Glenn

    Morning Glenn,

The upload is done for 1.4.79. What we do about the soft freeze of
the 15th I am not sure. We may be able to get an exception to get
it through to testing and thus trixie/13, but I would need to ask
the questions here also. I would also love to see this important
package be the latest possible in trixie/13.

I don’t think you will need to ask for an exception. It should just
migrate normally until May 15 (except that it will take 10 days to
    migrate).
