Would the current osmocom stack maintainers be interested in packaging this?

yes, this is already on our list.

Anything I can help with? I could provide some packaging on salsa
for https://salsa.debian.org/debian-mobcom-team/ if that helps (just
    don't want to duplicate work)?

    I have a package at https://salsa.debian.org/agx/osmo-cbc/ . Should we
move that under the "Debian Mobcom maintaienrs" umbrella? If so I'd
be happy to move the package over.

    Cheers

This message is in MIME format. The first part should be readable text,
while the remaining parts are likely unreadable without MIME-aware tools.

oh, you beat me to it. Yes, moving would be fine. Am I to do anything?

I think for the gitlab side either create an empty repo so I can do
merge requests that can be reviewed or add me the "Debian Mobile Communications" group and I'll push my branches there (whatever you
prefer and how the team works).
