    Dear Maintainer,

    Regretfully, it seems that the key has expired once again for Emacs 28.2
    as of today. Exactly as originally described, running the following
    Lisp code:

    (let ((package-check-signature nil))
    (package-refresh-contents)
    (package-install 'gnu-elpa-keyring-update))

    seems an appropriate workaround for the time being.
