I noticed that Ubuntu 25.04 (which is expected to ship GNOME 48 environment) will adopt Ptyxis as its new default terminal emulator.

This is a misunderstanding. Ubuntu 25.04 will still have GNOME
Terminal as their default terminal, just like Debian GNOME 13.

I wanted to ask for the maintainers' opinions. Are there plans to include this feature in the future?

This is more of a question for upstreams: either Nautilus or Ptyxis.

The Fedora patch is broken and the Fedora maintainers know it. It
displays "Open in Console" and then opens Ptyxis instead.

    Thank you,
