    * What led up to the situation?
    Upgraded to mariadb (1:10.11.11-0+deb12u1) bookworm;
    after that so did these crashes start to happen.
    Previews version of mariadb in debian bookworm worked fine.

    * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
    ineffective)?
    No workaround so far.
    This Mariadb crash happens on multiple servers with different hardware.

    I don't see any progress in upstream https://jira.mariadb.org/browse/MDEV-35424

    You might consider contributing directly upstream additional debugging information, volunteer to do testing etc to advance this.
