• Bug#1101354: E919: Directory not found in 'packpath': "pack/*/opt/ale"

From Bastian Venthur@21:1/5 to All on Wed Mar 26 12:20:01 2025
    Package: vim-ale
    Version: 4.0.0-1
    Severity: important
    X-Debbugs-Cc: venthur@debian.org

    Dear Maintainer,

the latest version broke the neovim integration. The error message when starting neovim is

    Error detected while processing /home/venthur/dotfiles/neovim/.config/nvim/init.vim:
    line 57:
E919: Directory not found in 'packpath': "pack/*/opt/ale"

the configuration it is referring to is:

    packadd! ale

After pressing Return, neovim starts normally, with ale disabled.

    Cheers,

    Bastian
