a new upstream version 0.11 of neovim was released in March. Maybe this could be included in unstable before the freeze?

This is going to require packaging new dependencies and a tree-sitter transition, so it won't make the freeze.

I'll see about getting it into experimental, but it will be lower
priority than other freeze-relevant issues that come up.
