• Bug#1101525: infinipath-psm: Consider removing infinipath-psm packages

From Dave Vasilevsky@21:1/5 to All on Fri Mar 28 21:10:01 2025
    Source: infinipath-psm
    Version: 3.3+20.604758e7-6.3
    Severity: normal
    X-Debbugs-Cc: dave@vasilevsky.ca

The upstream of this path is archived, marked unsupported, and hasn't been touched since 2017. It fails to build from source (bug #1071316).

I checked its reverse dependencies (see https://paste.debian.net/1365959/) and none of them really use this. They've all migrated to PSM2, and only spuriously list infinipath-psm as a build-dependency. The only direct dependency is from an old version of libfabric1, but the new version 2.0.0-4 doesn't use infinipath. See bugs #1101516 #1101519 #1101520.
