    Please unblock package eccodes

2.41.0-1 has updates desired in trixie. It is currently in experimental, but has been tested (and its deps) in testing.

    [ Reason ]
eccodes was released just before soft freeze.

    [ Impact ]
eccodes is a library used to decode weather data (used by ECMWF stack, cdo, etc).
The weather data codes change regularly and the version currently in trixie will fail to decode some GRIB data.
Ideally eccodes should be updated in stable every three months or so to ensure operational weather flows continue to work.

    [ Tests ]
There is a test suite included which works.

    [ Risks ]
eccodes is complex but mostly only changes in data tables, so minimal update patches may be possible.
But they did a code reorg for 2.41.0 and I prefer this goes into trixie as-is (and as tested) to minmize future work.

    [ Checklist ]
[X] all changes are documented in the d/changelog
[X] I reviewed all changes and I approve them
[ ] attach debdiff against the package in testing

    debdiff is large

    [ Other info ]

    unblock eccodes/2.28.0-1

2.41.0-1 was uploaded to unstable and it migrated without any actions
    from our side. Closing.
