    Hi,

    looking at upstream repo, it seems that this package hasn't been updated
    for years. Maybe it's time to drop it from Debian ?

    It still works (with some patches), do you have a particular reason for dropping it?

    I still use it, FWIW, and it works fantastically. Echoing the
    maintainer, what's the motivation to remove it?

    Given you are a user, maybe you can chime in there, if renaming one
    or both programs would work for you.

    long (real life, the idea to convert debian/rules to dh), I hope to be

    Yes, such an input would be useful. If anybody objects, please speak
    up now, I plan to work on the renaming tomorrow.
