Dear Maintainer,
After updating the stable kernel, I can no longer use USB tethering
(wired connection sharing) with my Fairphone.
I found many similar recent reports: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=220002 https://lore.kernel.org/all/e0df2d85-1296-4317-b717-bd757e3ab928@heusel.eu/ https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/fedora-42-tethering-from-my-phone-stopped-working-after-upgrade-device-recognized-as-wwan/148927/15
https://bugs.gentoo.org/953555 https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=304892
so posting here at Debian as well for tracking.
Apparently,
67d1a8956d2d ("rndis_host: Flag RNDIS modems as WWAN devices")
is the culprit.
