• Bug#1104326: Apparently Fixed in mesa 25.0.5-1

Valve's Deadlock is still broken with 25.0.5-1, it doesn't launch and
the main process becomes a zombie (no errors whatsoever). I copied libvulkan_gfxstream.so from 25.0.3-1 and it fixed the problem so I
assume that's where the bug is. Downgrading the entire package works too.

Well, it looks like the issue has been apparently resolved in mesa
    25.0.5-1.

After updating, everything is running smoothly again, no more
    repeated game
    launches or cryptic errors.

    Thanks for the silent fix.

    Best.

A lot of users (myself included) started hitting game startup
failures with Proton 10/experimental and 9/hotfix recently (also
with Proton 8 on some systems), where dropping back to something
like Proton 7 got things working. The Proton devs attribute it to a
recent Mesa regression supposedly fixed by https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/commit/ac96c18 in Mesa
25.0.6 (not yet in Debian). If you're experiencing a problem along
these lines not fixed by the recent 25.0.5 packages and have an AMD
GPU, then it might be that.
