    Severity: normal

    Please unblock package gnome-packagekit

    [ Reason ]
The package narrowly missed re-entry into testing after I fixed a bug
in its tests that made it FTBFS for a while (caused by a change in one
    of its dependencies).
This delay was entirely due to my availability and time constraints,
and had nothing to do with the package itself.
The package itself is just as ready for trixie as it was for bookworm,
and includes a few bug- and crash fixes on top.

    [ Impact ]
If gnome-packagekit is not allowed to re-enter testing, users of the
GNOME desktop will have no graphical application for online package
    updates, if they want one.
While GNOME users can use offline-updates (updates applied at reboot
time), users of the Xfce desktop will have no GUI updater at all in
    trixie.

    [ Tests ]
I tested the package manually, everything still seems to be in order
and working with the version of packagekit we ship in trixie.

    [ Risks ]
There are no risks that I can see. Even if the package were absolutely
broken, we could just remove it again.
On the other hand, by not having it, some other packages become less
useful (like update indicators which now have no tool to call to
    actually apply an update).

The -4 upload is very recent, so some additional user testing in sid
still needs to happen (the -4 revision fixes a crash that sometimes
occurs when searching for packages as the only change).

    [ Checklist ]
[x] all changes are documented in the d/changelog
[x] I reviewed all changes and I approve them
[-] attach debdiff against the package in testing

(I could attach a debdiff to the package in stable, if needed - the
    changes are minimal)

    unblock gnome-packagekit/43.0-4
