• Bug#1104907: base-installer: linux-image-*-signed-template should not b

From Cyril Brulebois@21:1/5 to All on Sat May 10 02:00:01 2025

    Hi,

    Pascal Hambourg <pascal@plouf.fr.eu.org> (2025-05-08):
When booting the installer with an amd64 netboot image in expert mode, linux-image-amd64-signed-template is wrongly included in the kernel
    selection dialog. See attached screenshot.

    Merge request for amd64, arm64 and riscv64: <https://salsa.debian.org/installer-team/base-installer/-/merge_requests/13>

And loong64 apparently. :) It's a little sad to have to cover each arch individually, but that'll do for trixie, feel free to go ahead, thanks.

    Cheers,

Yes, I was told in #debian-efi that riscv64 and loong64 were expected to support EFI secure boot some day.

It's a little sad to have to cover each arch
individually, but that'll do for trixie

Indeed I considered refactoring the common exclusions (*-dbg, *-signed-template) for all architectures but thought that a more
invasive change requiring more review and testing for such a minor bug
may not be suitable for trixie.
