    DVDs and Blu-ray Discs
(I get them from the library and then make copies for myself)
    Extended Warranties
    Boats
    Timeshares
    Over-the-Top Weddings
(Total insanity spending this when it could be the downpayment on a
    home.)
    Pricey Engagement Rings
(Simple gold ring is all that is needed - unless she's so insecure she
needs thousands of $$ to convince her you truly care.)
    Desktop Computers
(Absolutely needed for multi USB ports and needed boards for advanced
    users.)
Camping Gear You’ll Never Use Again
(Who in the hell wants to pee/crap outside or inside some filthy
    portable crapper?)
    Video Cameras
    Printers
    Pedometers
(Get real...why does anyone need to know to the 1/2 inch how far they
    have walked?)
    Exercise Machines
(A total and complete waste of money. Most do NOT simulate any real
and neccessary body movement. Simple weights with a cheap knee
extension cuff for leg raises is good enuf.)
Juicers and Other Expensive Kitchen Gadgets
(I doubt if hardly anyone uses these dang things for more than a day
    or two.)
    Unnecessary Baby Products
    Pools
(If not a millionaire, you gotta be nuts to even consider this for
even a full second - especially if you have young children.)
    Hot Tubs
(Only for spoiled brats who think sweating is macho or sexy.)
    Luxury Cars
    Fine China
    (Only for egoists.)
    Collectibles
Expensive Clothes You Can Only Wear Once
    Oversized Desserts and Cocktails
    ‘As Seen on TV’ Products
    Products Sold By Door-to-Door Salespeople
    Pricey Replacement Parts
    Lottery Tickets
    (Keep dreaming.)
    High-End Gym Memberships
(Because they tell you bigger lies about how much more weight you will
    lose with them.)
    The ‘It’ Kids’ Toy
    Premium Rental Cars
    Daily Grab-and-Go Meals
(Enjoy clogging up your arteries and heart.)
    Car Upgrades
(On top of the monthly payments? You gotta be kidding.)
    Season Tickets
(Maybe 1 in a 100 will go to each event.)
    Designer Clothes and Shoes
Purchases From Websites You’ve Never Heard Of
    Clothes That Don’t Fit You
    (Oh, come on! Get real!)
    Cheap Paper Towels
(Been there. Did it. Waste of money.)
    Cheap Furniture
(I think the junk stuff today is made of plywood and cardboard.)
    Cheap Kitchen Knives
    (Guilty.)
    Low-Quality Appliances
(Guilty - because the expensive ones are usually no better these days
    than the junk ones.)
    Purebred Dogs
(Good Grief! There are so many great mutts up for adoption in the dog
pounds and shelters that it's unforgivable to be leave them in there
to be killed. We've always gotten our mutts from the shelters.)
A House You Can’t Actually Afford
(I think this a just about the biggest mistake a whole bunch of people
    make.)

Boats are a classic for lists like this. They are expensive to buy, maintain, and insure.
