I have ben using Garvity 3.0 for some time. All of a sudden it won't open.
If I launch from Quicklaunch of double click on screen. Nothing appears to happen.beyond an icon on the taskbar.
If I click on the taskbar icon a menu window appears with Microplanet etc
in its toolbar and an empty window below.
If I use the repair oprtion, it appears to install. If I now open I get the 'flash' logo then nothing
I have tried a restart to no avail.

I suggest an uninstall/reinstall. If you can, you might want to save
the database first (Tools » Database » Export) and then import it
afterward. That might not be necessary -- I don't know for sure that
an uninstall deletes your database -- but it can't hurt.

I too could think of no other way.
I uninstalled and did a Regclean and reinstall.
I couln't find the data, but once I set the server, the subsribed groups
just popped up. I did have to reset the toolbar to my liking, but even
the Rules had been saved.
I kept getting old messages, but a restart (of Gravity) seems to have
cured that.

Glad it worked out, Jim!
I see that you elected to reinstall 3.0.4. Steve Gibson of GRC fixed
a couple of bugs in version 3.0.11, and I've been using it for a
couple of months now with no problem. If you're interested, see the
link above.

Unfortunately after a couple of error free days. V 3.0.11 has started
playing up which is why this is being sent from Dialog.
This time on opening the only pane I get is the header pane and when I
click on oneit replaces the header pane with the subject pane.
I'm going to bed as the missus can hear me shouthing at the pc.

Sounds like you must have hit the Z key (zoom mode) without realizing
it.
Launch Gravity, press Z, and you should see your 3-panel layout
again.
(Z was in gravity from the beginning, as I recall. It's certainly not
related to GRC's updates. Unfortunately, Gravity help was not updates
by either of the last two authors, but Z is in the help that comes
with Gravity.)

Thanks. You might well be right, but it came back later and I'm a bit
'feart' to test you theory. :)
