Can't watch it right now. But in the meantime:

Here's a thread I started on "The Best Old Movies for Families," a 2007 book by critic Ty Burr:

    https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/rec.arts.movies.past-films/%22ty$20burr%22$20lenona%7Csort:relevance/rec.arts.movies.past-films/RbgMXgIILhU/UdGLQPWeCqAJ

Burr joined the discussion as well!

Obviously, the key is to expose kids to old movies, slowly and casually, as early as possible. One can do this with one's grandchildren as well.

(Example: Burr wrote that if you appreciate Danny Kaye's genius and want kids to do the same, they have to watch a movie of his before age 8 - likely "The Court Jester." Otherwise, they'll already be too jaded by modern movies.)
