• B-52 Performance Questions

From peterwezeman@hotmail.com@21:1/5 to All on Tue Aug 10 15:27:56 2021
For a Boeing B-52H, on a mission at maximum takeoff weight, what
would be the initial cruising altitude and true airspeed? How much
fuel would have been burned off in takeoff and climb?

My thanks in advance for all replies.

My friend who was a B-52 tailgunner, last
night told me, that generally in their
flightplan, early on they would descend
to about 27,000 feet to refuel
(to make up for what lost in the climb.)
