Hi Jay,
please find some further suggestions/corrections enclosed. Have fun in Germany and the Czech Republic.
STUTTGARTThis brewpub has the name: Calwer Eckbrau. In that area you'll find lots
--------------
Stuttgart Lokalbrauerei (Calwer Strasse 31) -brewpub
of other nice pubs.
Sanwald Brewewry Gasthof (Silberburg Strasse)That is: Bad Cannstadter Volksfest, nearly as big as the 'Oktoberfest' in Munich. It starts at Saturday, September 24 and ends at Sunday, Oktober
? Beer Garden (Rotebuehl Strasse)
Dinkelacker Brewwery Rest (Tubinger Strasse)
Bad Constaat Volkfest (end Sept, 1st 2 weeks in Oct)
9. So you have to hurry up, Jay!(BTW, Bad Cannstadt is apart of
Stuttgart)
Brewery rest @ Robert Leicht AG Brauerei,
Rathskeller @ Hirsch Str, near downtown Mall
Schnellcentrum @ Weber Str. 72 in old prison tower.
Swabian Brewery Museum (12 Robert-Koch Strasse, Stuttgart-Vaihingen 0711 >7370 201) closed Mon & Holidays, open 10:30am - 5pm
Schwabia (south of Stutt.)This region is actually called 'Wuerttemberg-Hohenzollern'.'Capital' is Tuebingen. Being on the way from Stuttgart to Hechingen or Sigmaringen
one should really visit Tuebingen for it has a lovely medieval city core (With lots of great pubs!) and a very old renowned university.
Sigmaringen Schloss (feuda weapon collection)approx. 50 miles southward Stuttgart. For historically interested people:
it was the final location of the socalled 'Vichy regime', that government
of the (by german troops) occupied part of France that colaborated with
the Nazis in WW2. I think that there is a now permanent exhibition about
the eventful history of the castle.
Hohenzollernschloss in HechingenThe right name is: Trochtelfingen, the brewery (Albquell) is correct,
Sigmaringen - Brauerei Gasthof Zollerhof
Bingen - Brauerei Gasthof Zum Lamm (small)
Trachelfingen - Albquell Brauhaus (Gasthof too)
their beer used to be outstanding. There is another nice 'Gasthof' there:
Zum Ochsen. The region 'containing' all these nice towns is called 'Schwaebische Alb'. Near Hechingen there is another picturesque nice
town: Haigerloch. The 'Haigerlocher Schloßbrau' is a fantastic brewery
and that's definitively not only my opinion! Apart from that, the baroque church, the castle, and especially a nuclear bunker which was towards
the end of WW2 the research center for german physicists and chemists
like Otto Hahn, Werner Heissenberg, Max von Laue, Carl-Friedrich von Weizsaecker are interesting places to see.
Sindelfingen - brauerei Lamm (not related to one in Bingen)That's just 10 minutes away from Stuttgart. Take the highway A81 south.
Sindelfingen - Funzel (rest); has Andechs, Kaltenberg, etc.
Reichelsfofen (near Rothenburg) - Privatbrauerei Fam. Woerner >(Landwehr-Brau Hotel.

PRAGUEThe last time I was in Prag (3 years ago) I found the 'U Kalichu' to be

a nice pub. But in the meantime lot's of things may have changed.
Enjoy Germany, especially the beer, the food and what we call 'Gemuetlichkeit'!
Cheers,
Roland
