• Stating the obvious: Elvis Presley's movies were the worst!

Sitting through an Elvis Presley film is like watching helplessly as a dear friend slowly destroys himself through alcoholism, drug addiction, or marrying the wrong person. I'm fully convinced that Elvis was incapable of embarrassment. And that goes
    double for Colonel Parker.

I just saw "Spinout" (1966). It's the worst Elvis film I've ever seen, and that's saying a lot. Imagine the man who captured the world's attention with "Hound Dog" and "Jailhouse Rock" reduced to singing garbage songs like "Smorgasbord." What a waste of
    a great talent!
