    I have a friend, a few years older than me, who is a classical music
    fan, and I was stunned to discover she didn't know who Buddy Holly was. Classical music is a whole nother world.

    Hey, she was probably born in like 1995 or something. Were you were in your twenties had you heard music by acts that were big 20-30 years before you were born, like Billy Murray and Paul Whiteman?

    When I was in my 20s I was definitely listening to music from the 1920s
    and 30s, although not the "acts that were big" at the time.
