    I'm not exactly sure what he means since from where I'm sitting all I see on each page of his site are the record reviews and the label pictures.

    Thats it----no ads (which I am guessing appear on the US version),nothing extra,no nothin'!!

    Perhaps someone can explain more fully what I'm missing?

    No, there aren't any ads on the US version of the site.

    As usual he is so verbose that my eyeballs start to spin after a couple
    of sentences, but I *think* what he's saying is that previously you
    could click on the photo of the record and go to the Amazon site and now
    you can't.

    I've gone back a couple of years in his "Master Index" and clicked on several label pics but nothing happens

    But when I clicked on certain secondary pics (like album covers etc) I got routed to the US Amazon site but always hit a CAPCHA thingy on there.

    However a couple of times clicking on one of these put me thru to the UK Amazon website---and no proving I'm not a robot involved

    yes, and he has to replace 2000+ of these images which, apart from the
    effort involved in doing that, will, if he hosts the replacement
    images on his web site's server (instead of just having a link to a
    third party like Amazon), add to the data traffic from his web site -
    which he has to pay for
