    Roger, I'm watching a British TV show, "Bodyguard." This cop is assigned to protect a woman who is high up in the government. He seems to be addressing here as "Mum," but maybe it's actually Ma'am, and abbreviation for madam? Sounds like mum.

    I've never seen the show but I'm guessing he's saying "marm" or "ma'am" ---both of which as you correctly say are slang terms for "madam"

    She's supposed to be the Home Secretary, which i see is a huge position over there. After a couple of episodes, now they're secretly fucking. He's her POP (Principle Officer of Protection). It's a Netflix limited series.

    Just heard another British slang expression I think.

    The Bodyguard is standing next to a female cop and there are protesters all around and she's annoyed and says they are "gettin' on my tits."

    I looked it up and it says that it's usually said by men.

    Usually used by men but I once heard a woman say it, much to my joy
