    SPONTANEOUS LUNACY VERDICT - 2/10

For once I'm on the same page as Samp here--except he's been kind and given it one grading too many

Not too many songs come AWFULLER than this one!! I HATE all the 1952 versions including The Four Knights who have the most tolerable of the 1952 releases

Even The Five Satins in their later version can't save this horrible stinker of a song!!

    Is that Mickey singing?

It's not particularly good, but I don't hate it like you do. I give this a 5. It's got a quaint minimalist feeling to it in the vein of "Blue Moon" by Elvis. I don't file the Four Knights version, that would be a 3 because of the production and the kind
of put on voice that the lead singer uses. The Satins is also a 5.

    For me, it's between 1 and 2.
