I can't wait to see Don Willis and Ray Scott in action :)

So far I watched the first 2 episodes. It's tremendous. They left off
after Redding died and when Atlantic pulled out and took all of the past masters with them as Jim Stewart had signed a deal with Atlantic in 1965 without reading it and understanding everything involved. King had also
been killed at the Lorraine Hotel, where most of the Stax people hung
out when they weren't in the studio.

The third episode is there too, but it's getting too late here.

I also watched the first two episodes, and agree, it's very good.

Got to tour the Stax Studios on one of my visits to Memphis. Very
interesting. One thing that stood out to me was seeing the keyboard that
Booker T played Green Onions on, one of my all-time favorite instrumentals.

And the clip of Otis doing I've Been Loving You Too Long at  the
Monterey Pop Festival is still mesmerizing. And , Dock if the Bay is
also one of my all-time favorites.

Diane and I were at Stax too. Also the Civil Rights Museum at the
Lorraine Hotel location and the other rock and roll/R&B museum in town,
as well as Graceland and the Sun Studio.

"Green Onions" is my top instrumental all time, it's a very high 9, like
9.48. Does not quite round up to a 10.

Yep, been to all those places too. The Civil rights Museum is pretty
    emotional.

On most days, Honky Tonk part 2 just edges Green Onions out. However, on
    other days....

I wanted to buy a Sun record at Sun Studios, and actually bought
Breathless. It wasn't quite That's All Right,  but still....

Roger, do you know a pirate station from like 1967 called Caroline
    radio?

It's mentioned in the Stax show. Also, do you know when Stax first came
there to perform. It seemed to be some time in 1967.

I remember hearing about it back then. There was also another  Pirate boat/station I believe, but I don't remember it's  name.

Yes I believe Radio Caroline was the first of the pirate radio stations broadcasting from ships stationed around various parts of the British
coast to get around the UK ban on "commercial radio". IIRC they started
    up in 1964.

Eventually there were like a dozen or so similar stations broadcasting
here in the South of England. I used to listen to Caroline and Radio
London mostly---I liked that they played the soul records that never got airplay on the BBC. Singlehandedly they turned some of them into major
UK hits (as with Roy C's "Shotgun Wedding" in 1967)

It's mentioned in the Stax show. Also, do you know when Stax first

IIRC the first Stax/Volt tour started in March 1967.The shows featured
    Otis Redding,Eddie Floyd,Booker T & Mg's etc.

There was a whole fleet of them at one time---all moored at various
strategic points around the UK coastine.

Just a few I recall as well as Caroline were Radio London,Radio
    Veronica.Radio Invicta.Radio Atlanta,Radio Sutch (!)..and others
