I/We hope Sampson is okay or recovering well from whatever
    happened in his personal life.

If he doesn't start up again (at this time Bruce thinks he will), next
question is how long will his 'Lunacy' site remain up?

For some years now I've thought that the Federal Government should
step in and sponsor (pay for the upkeep of) praiseworthy music web
sites that strongly feature historical American music of note.

Or, we can hope that the 'Lunacy' site will be archived in full by
Archive.org - like it did, I think, for 'globaldogproductions'.

While I appreciate your optimism, I have to wonder what's you've based
    it on.

Knowing the guy for almost 20 years now. He got burnt out after doing 5
years plus of reviews, but he'll get rejuvenated eventually. It may take
till the end of the summer, but he'll be back before 2024 is done.

I'm glad that the guy is still with us at least and of course wish him a
speedy return to normal health and activity as soon as possible.

But surely he himself (or someone close) could have made some kind of
mention of his predicament on the Lunacy site? Everyone would understand
then and the worry factor would be drastically reduced

Last I heard Archive.org was fighting for its life against a massive
copyright violation lawsuit. :( Do you know anything more?

Yeah, the last time he was gone for awhile he never said anything
    either.

    Archive.org is a California based non-profit, tax-exempt, charity.

First, a lawsuit was filed by 4 major *book* publishers, who won
their case in March 2023; Archive.org is appealing this decision.

Second, in August 2023 "some of the world’s largest record labels,
including Sony and Universal Music Group, filed a lawsuit against the
Internet Archive and others for the *Great 78 Project*, a community
effort for the preservation, research and discovery of 78 rpm records
that are 70 to 120 years old."
