Bill, do you listen to the video before you choose it to post?

Because this one was made off of a scratchy record and sounds like shit.

Actually, it sounds fine to me, probably because I was listening to the
    lyrics.

    My Girlfriend- Cadillacs
    ----------
In the late 1980s-early 1990s I used to listen to the Don K. Reed show
Sunday nights on WCBS-FM. He would have guests, either a current
acappella group who would do several songs live, or an older group that
he would interview and then they might do one or two songs a cappella.
And I would try to tape the live performances on my little "boom box"
style radio/tape recorder. And in fact I still have a (degraded)
cassette tape of the Cadillacs doing "My Girlfriend" a cappella. It was
    good.

There are a lot of acappella gospel records, some of them with amazing
harmony, but I guess that's not what you're looking for?

And (sorry, pet peeve) it's acappella or a cappella. Like two peas in a
    pod, two p's in acappella.

If it really sounds fine to you, that explains a few things. Listen to
the one Geoff posted. If it doesn't sound much better to you than the
one you posted then something is wrong.
