    La Lee was always one of the better pop songstresses and this is a show
    tune I always liked (even by The Beatles who seem to me to follow Peg's
    version on their rendition)

    La Lee was always one of the better pop songstresses and this is a show
    tune I always liked (even by The Beatles who seem to me to follow Peg's version on their rendition)

    Several of these are favorites for me, especially the Drifters (#14) and
    Billy Fury (#30) and the Joe Turner (#24) which is a revamp of many of
    his 30s and 40s things put together with a new title. Those 3 are all
    nines for me.

    The album in question is the 10" LP "Sound Of Fury" on UK Decca. The
    slightly earlier LP by him that year was his debut album "Billy Fury" an
    Ace Of Clubs label (UK Decca subsidary) collection
